We are going to Australia next summer and want to spend some time at Perisher. We could go the last two weeks of July or the last two weeks of August - what would you recommend? Also, I would appreciate any info on how to get there from Sydney without renting a car. I will check out the hotel you mentioned in your review. Thanks!

Hi, I think it wouldn't make any difference which week you go: that period is all peak season. You could get a Murrays bus from Sydney to Canberra then use their snow service to the ski tube station in the mountains. You'd have to stay the night in Canberra as the snow bus only goes once per day around 5.30am
