We went at high tide so was only able to take photos from afar. Still able to get some nice shots. Several benches and picnic tables to sit and relax. Full review by KAG0303

This was a fantastic experience. We paid $5 per person to walk across at low tide to the light station. It took maybe 15 minutes to carefully navigate the three sets of stairs and the rocks at low ti… Full review by Robin J

The journey from parking lot to lighthouse can only be made during a window of time near low tide. The 3 sets of stairs/ladders to climb to the lighthouse are quite steep and dangerous. There were br… Full review by Sue B

This is not the answer, however I am curious to know this as well. We are planning a trip out in June and the low tide that day is for 0745. The time is an hour ahead than that on the Maine side so that puts us there at 0645 ,Maine time, for low tide. I plan on being there around 0530 to hopefully not get stuck!
Hi, NJ. What would you like to know about this attraction? We are trying to time the crossing to the lighthouse with low tide. Is it accurate to say that the light station is accessible for approximately two hours before to two hours after low tide? Example: If low tide is at 11:00 AM (EDT) can the lighthouse crossing be made from 9:00 AM until about 1:00 PM?

Semi- pro photographer visiting 1st time late Sept. Really want to photograph this lighthouse but not sure our knees will make for the crossover during low tide (judging from the reports, but we are not faint of heart) Are there any really good vantage points on Campobello to photograph the lighthouse without crossing? Can it be photographed from a tour boat nicely? If so which one? Thank you!

You can walk across. Wear good shoes, yak tracks and perhaps a walking stick. The first field of boulders is the worst. I am 59 and did it 2 weeks ago. Beautiful views from the parking …
You can walk across. Wear good shoes, yak tracks and perhaps a walking stick. The first field of boulders is the worst. I am 59 and did it 2 weeks ago. Beautiful views from the parking lot, or walk out on the trails from the parking lot to get pictures.
