Beautiful, quiet setting. This is a state park but there is no office, no need. The Texas Master Naturalist chapter in this area helps with the landscape around the top of the trail. Lovely setting. … Full review by Q4639PDbrendam

I took this information from the Old Tunnel State Park website: "From May through October, visitors age 4 and over can pay to view the bats from the lower viewing area on Thursday through Sunday evenings. Tickets for this area are sold on these evenings beginning around 5:30 p.m." It is $5 per person and on a first-come first-served basis and a max capacity of 70 visitors in the lower viewing area. "The upper viewing area, located adjacent to the parking area, is open nightly for use by the general public." The park will close the upper viewing area when they reach 250 people. They will allow more people to enter that area as others leave.
