Chip Kelly said the opportunity to finally work alongside new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll after the pair had orbited each other as adversaries in previous jobs was a chief reason for his return to the NFL.

The Las Vegas Raiders were in search of a true offensive mind for their offensive coordinator position. Former conference rivals, Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly team up in Las Vegas.

Kelly, 61, is reportedly becoming the highest-paid offensive coordinator in NFL history at $6 million a year. The Raiders will mark his third stop in the NFL and his first as an OC.
