NBA free agency officially kicked off on Monday evening as the negotiating window opened for eligible players and all teams across the league at 6 p.m. ET. Monday night was relatively quiet, but the first stunners of the new league year came Tuesday morning.

The partnership between the Golden State Warriors and former lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga has never felt particularly comfortable for either side.

At 40 years old, LeBron James wants to win, and win now. If he and the Lakers agree to part ways, these teams could make sense.

Kuminga sounds like he’s ready to leave the Warriors, but there have been a litany of complications to get him to a new NBA team. While he could just sign an offer sheet with a team, the Warriors have the ability to match the contract and retain him, so signing the offer sheet likely would keep him in Golden State.

The Kings are reportedly trying to make a push for Jonathan Kuminga, but nothing is imminent with the Warriors.
