The NBA has suspended three players for their roles in the fracas between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks on Friday night. Suns center Jusuf Nurkic has been suspended for three games, Mavericks forward Naji Marshall has been suspended for four games and Mavs forward P.

P.J. Washington was also involved, shoving Nurkic during the melee. Nurkic, Marshall and Washington were ejected after the scuffle. After the game, a few Mavericks took a similar tone while discussing the matter, playing up the theme of protecting each other’s teammates.

Dallas star Luka Doncic (calf strain) is out for at least a month. The Suns are led by Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal without Booker, and the Mavericks' other top players are Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson.
