The ACLU of Ohio is declaring victory after Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski deleted a Facebook post that was linked to supporters of Kamala Harris.

The decision from the Portage County Board of Elections comes after Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski posted controversial comments that made some residents feel threatened or intimidated.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski asked residents to write down the addresses of people who have signs supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in their yards.

The Portage County Sheriff's Department will no longer provide security for early voting at the board of elections after remarks made by its leader.

The county board of elections chair cited public comments indicating “perceived intimidation by our sheriff against certain voters."
