The Homeland Security Department's latest update is yet another win for travelers, following the recent repeal of the shoes-off rule.
Currently, liquids are limited to 3.4 ounces per container with exceptions for essential items. Days after announcing that travelers would no longer need to take their shoes off for TSA screening before flights, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem hinted at another possible change.

“We expect this change will drastically decrease passenger wait times at our TSA checkpoints, leading to a more pleasant and efficient passenger experience,” stated Secretary Noem about sunsetting what the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) referred to as the “shoes off” policy.
For the first time in almost 20 years, travelers will no longer be required to take off their shoes during security screenings at U.S. airports.
