A venomous Ornate Cat-eyed Snake from Ecuador was found in a banana shipment at a New Hampshire Market Basket. It was safely relocated by Rainforest Reptile Shows.

The employee found a snake — later identified as an Ornate Cat-eyed Snake, which officials say is a mildly venomous snake species native to Ecuador, New Hampshire Fish and Game wrote in a Facebook post. New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officer Griffin McKeown told WMUR-TV that a call reporting a venomous snake was a unique experience.
