A 34-year-old man is accused of using a knife to slash a 17-year-old’s face in Volusia County during an altercation, according to the sheriff’s office.

Two high school students – a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old – were arrested on Wednesday after posting a school shooting threat on social media, according to Sheriff Mike Chitwood.

Two teens were arrested after making a school shooting threat via Snapchat, according to the Volusia Sheriff's Office. Deputies said the teens were identified as 16-year-old and 17-year-old students from Taylor High in Pierson. According to the Volusia Sheriff's Office the teens made the threat as a "joke." No injuries resulted from this threat.
