Ridley Scott's first sci-fi movie in nearly a decade is turning out to be a box-office disaster, having grossed a quarter of its budget so far.

Ridley Scott does not seem to be thinking of retiring anytime soon. Not only does the director, 88, have Jacob Elordi starrer “The Dog Stars” opening Friday, he’s planning to put his own stamp on “Treasure Island” next with Hugh Jackman.

The Academy Award honoree recently revealed that he’s “rewriting the next Alien film,” which will serve as a long-awaited conclusion to his prequel trilogy that also includes Prometheus (2012) and Alien: Covenant (2017), with Michael Fassbender ‘s Walter One returning.
