Two North Carolina-based university health systems have announced an agreement to construct the state’s first standalone children’s hospital.

Duke Health and UNC Health are creating a new nonprofit, N.C. Children’s, to build and operate the 500-bed hospital. A site has not yet been chosen but is expected to be announced this summer. It will involve a campus of at least 100 acres with a children’s outpatient center and a children’s behavioral health hospital.

Duke freshman phenom Cooper Flagg turned in another monster performance Monday night as the No. 2 Blue Devils edged NC State 74-64 after facing their first halftime deficit in a home game this season.

On Monday night, the Duke Blue Devils beat NC State (at home) by a score of 74-64. Cooper Flagg finished the win with 28 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block while shooting 8/17 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range.
