Epic Games has confirmed Godzilla x Kong for Fortnite's in-game event. Starting January 17, 2025, Fortnite players can enjoy the clash of the MonsterVerse as Godzilla, King Kong, and Mechagodzilla descend upon the virtual island.

Epic Games has confirmed plans to hold a special Godzilla x Kong in-game event on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android.

Fortnites 33.20 update sets the stage for a Monsterverse collaboration featuring Godzilla and Kong. The patch introduces new skins, NPC bosses, teasers and Hatsune Miku-themed items.

More leaks have revealed even more skins coming to Fortnite in the form of Mecha Godzilla and a new King Kong skin.

To be clear, you cannot die while playing as Godzilla--you'll always turn back into a normal player at the end of it, no matter what. From there, you'll play the rest of the match out as usual. You don't, by the way, get any rewards for having been Godzilla in a match, aside from the happy memories.

Godzilla in Fortnite is available as part of the Battle Pass and in the Item Shop, as well as a limited battle royale feature
