A home on the 800 block of Stone Road was levelled by an explosion just before 5 a.m., according to the Barnard Fire District, the lead agency that responded to the scene. Neighbors said they saw the three residents crawling out of the house shortly after the blast.

Edward Hernandez and Danielle Sullivan, who live across the street, said that around 5 a.m., they heard an explosion and their house shook, knocking some things off of shelves. “We saw the fire, then I ran outside, and we saw them crawling out, the people that live there,” Hernandez said.
