The Bronx Bombers are looking to unload $18-plus million AAV of starting pitching onto the market, and their neighbors in Queens might become convenient buyers.

A proposed trade would send RHP Marcus Stroman to the New York Mets and infielder Jeff McNeil to the New York Yankees.

Jeana Bellezza-Ochoa of Bleeding Yankee Blue proposed one such trade in a recent column. Bellezza-Ochoa posed the idea of the Yankees sending two-time All-Star starting pitcher Marcus Stroman to the Mets for second baseman/outfielder Jeff McNeil.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Yankees are trying to trade All-Star pitcher Marcus Stroman. Early efforts have been unsuccessful, resulting in New York offering to cover a portion of Stroman’s remaining salary.

As the reliever market continues to take shape, the Yankees remain interested in a reunion with left-hander Tim Hill and their competition could come from across town. The Mets are also considering signing the 34-year-old who emerged as a dependable weapon in The Bronx,
