The PS4 outputs 1080p, so pairing it with a 4K screen may feel redundant. It's not going to harm your experience, and your screen of choice should scale things to fit its higher resolution nicely.

While the PS5 will get you all of the bells and whistles of the next-gen updates, the PS4 Pro patches are also impressive. 4K has been improved and performance is better across the board.
