University of Oregon fans will have another chance to watch Sabrina Ionescu play in Eugene after all. Ionescu, an Oregon alumna whose senior season was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic, is returning to campus with the New York Liberty for a preseason game on May 12.

Bay FC announced Monday that WNBA player and Bay Area native Sabrina Ionescu has joined the club as an investor and commercial advisor. She will assist in developing branding partnerships and supporting athletes in securing endorsement deals,

The Liberty on Monday unveiled their two-game preseason schedule, which includes a trip to Sabrina Ionescu and Nyara Sabally’s alma mater.  The defending champions will tip off their preseason slate when they host the Connecticut Sun on May 9 at Barclays Center.
