The Pac-12 and Mountain West conferences are headed back to court after failing to reach a settlement agreement in mediation over $55 million in “poaching” fees. The conferences failed to reach an agreement by Tuesday's deadline in mediation that began in May.

A lawsuit filed by the Pac-12 against the Mountain West over approximately $150 million in exit and poaching fees is headed to court, according to a document filed Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Pac-12 and Mountain West acknowledged they had not made progress and requested that the court hold a hearing on Sept. 9.
