Florence Pugh and Mike Faist have signed on to star in a TV remake of the classic film East of Eden. The pair will lead the cast in a seven-episode limited series for Netflix. East of Eden, a 1952 novel written by John Steinbeck,

Per Variety, this forthcoming, seven-part reimagining of John Steinbeck’s 1952 magnum opus will “explore the multigenerational saga of the Trask family,” farmers who settle in California’s Salinas Valley in the early 20th century, “focusing new attention on its indelible antihero, Cathy Ames.”

Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist and Hoon Lee also star in the drama based on John Steinbeck's literary classic.
