During the record-breaking storm that hit Kansas City, residents have expressed a range of comments — and sharp critiques — about MoDOT’s response.

The Kansas City metro is still digging itself out from a nearly-record 11 inches of snow that got dumped by a blizzard over the weekend. Roads remain icy and treacherous, however, and much of the city remains shut down.

Hundreds of city and state workers are grabbing their shovels and plows this week in an effort to clear out the snow and ice blanketing the Kansas City metro. Since early last week, public workers have been preparing to scrape and plow roadways and help people get back to their normal lives.
