The Detroit Tigers beat the Cleveland Guardians in extra-innings on Sunday, and though he didn't get the win, left-hander Tarik Skubal continued to dominate in a possible Cy Young season.

Given Skubal's brilliance this season (10-2, 2.02 ERA and a league-best 11.5 strikeouts per nine innings), the announcement was not a surprise.
