Jon Stewart had a lot to say about Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony on Monday. But one moment from the day’s event seemed to stop him in his tracks: Elon Musk’s dramatic hand gesture, which evoked to many the Nazi salute.

Jon Stewart took swipes at President Trump’s Monday Inauguration during the post-ceremony “Daily Show,” including torching Democratic lawmakers who followed decorum.

Jon Stewart had a lot to unpack on Monday’s (January 20) edition of The Daily Show as he discussed Donald Trump ‘s Inauguration event, which included a speech from Elon Musk involving a controversial hand gesture.

Stewart took on Trump’s news-filled Inauguration Day (full video, below) during Monday’s episode of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. During Stewart’s 15-minute opener, he mocked the tech billionaires in attendance, President Joe Biden’s last-minute pardons of his family, Elon Musk’s controversial crowd salute and, of course, Trump’s speech.

The congresswoman and late-night host had harsh words for anyone attempting to downplay the “controversial” gesture’s significance.
