For the first time since 2021, Harris English is a PGA Tour winner. He survived blustery conditions to win the Farmers Insurance Open.

Harris English finished his 6-under 66 with three straight birdies Friday, charging into a one-shot lead over Andrew Novak at 9-under 207 heading into the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open.

The wind is forecast to pick back up for the final 18 holes as Harris English leads the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open through 54 holes.

Harris English first flirted with fame at the Farmers Insurance Open a decade ago when he shared the third-round lead and was part of a four-man playoff for the 2015 championship. Jason Day came away the winner that year at Torrey Pines, but English was encouraged, not discouraged.

Harris English didn't have his best, but he had something no one else did, which was enough to be the last man standing at Torrey Pines.

The top five on the money list going into the Farmers Insurance Open didn’t change: Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Sepp Straka, Nick Taylor and Sungjae Im. Matsuyama tied for 32nd at Torrey Pines and has more than $3.7 million in earnings.
