The nearly 200 migrants detained at Guantanamo Bay have been cleared out of the military base, with all but one person flown back to Venezuela following successful negotiations with the South American nation’s leader, according to news reports.
Kevin Rodríguez, now back in Venezuela, said the uncertainty of not knowing how long he would be in the U.S. military facility was what worried him the most.

A plane carrying more than 170 Venezuelan migrants who were held in Guantanamo Bay after being deported from the US arrived in Venezuela on Thursday, according to CNN sources.
Flights that left from Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, Thursday transported nearly 200 illegal immigrants detained on the island back to Venezuela.
Many of the migrants were being kept in a detention facility that has historically held suspected terrorists. They were flown back to Venezuela Thursday after a stop in Honduras.
Three immigrants who won a restraining order against the U.S. government to avoid transfer to Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba have been deported on direct flights to Venezuela.
