The third quarter marked Detroit's best period of the night, as they shot 43.3% from the field. Overall, the Pistons improved to 16-18.

The Pistons were down 47-46 with 4:45 left in the second quarter, and Charlotte went on an 11-2 run before Bridges ended the half with a 30-foot 3-pointer to make it 65-52. The Pistons came back to outscore the Hornets 32-17 in the third quarter.

They lead the NBA in wins so far in January. They’ll have a winning record at the midpoint of the season. And chances are, you wouldn’t guess which team fits that billing.
