After it was revealed that Pat McAfee was going to miss Monday Night Raw for the CFP National Championship, WWE has officially announced his replacement.

The Boomstick has been announced for Royal Rumble commentary at Saturday's PLE in Indianapolis, where he spent his eight-year NFL career and runs his brand from today. This comes a year after McAfee returned from hiatus at the 37th Royal Rumble for commentary and a brief entry in the main event.

Kai Cenat was in attendance for Monday's WWE Raw, being shown on screen during the broadcast. During the commercial break, Kai was given his own entrance and interviewed by Pat McAfee. Speaking on his stream, Kai said he saw Triple H, CM Punk, and Rey Mysterio, and everyone showed him love.

Pat McAfee is already taking time off from his WWE RAW commentary duties. McAfee returned to WWE last month as a surprise commentator for Saturday Night’s Main Event. He followed that up by returning to RAW Netflix premiere on January 6 alongside Michael Cole.
