State elections officials are asking an Anne Arundel County judge to delay an order that strikes a ballot question before voters in Baltimore City so that the state's highest court can review the case.

A judge on Monday ruled that a charter amendment in Baltimore City to redevelop Harborplace was unconstitutional. A group of residents filed the motion in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court earlier this month on Question F.

The latest front in the battle over the redevelopment plan for Harborplace is a courtroom. It comes after a group of city residents got a look at the wording of a ballot question that needs to pass for the project to move forward and found it so confusing that they're suing and asking for a court-ordered edit.
