However, a recent rumor from a Korean news outlet claims that the company is pursuing a "cheaper" clamshell device for 2025. The phone could launch with the "Galaxy Z Flip FE" name alongside the expected Flip 7.

There have been speculations that Samsung is considering releasing a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip as a Fan Edition model. Although not much is known about this potential mid-range foldable, a recent report might have uncovered the chip that will power it.

The latest rumor comes from the leaker Jukanlosreve on X (spotted by Android Police) who stated that the Fan Edition foldable would feature an Exynos processor, specifically the Exynos 2400, which is from 2023. Jukanlosreve has been on a tipping tear since returning to that mine and, for the most part, appears to have fairly accurate reports.
