Italian police have seized dozens of forged artworks attributed to famous artists such as Picasso and Rembrandt in what authorities have called a “clandestine painting laboratory.”

A workshop outside Rome containing 71 fake paintings falsely attributed to famous artists including Rembrandt van Rijn, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol has been raided by Italy's art crime squad, local authorities announced.

In total, 71 fake paintings attributed to Picasso, Rembrandt, and other celebrated artists have been seized by Italian authorities.
