Former NBC News host and analyst Chuck Todd teased his next project after leaving the network, implying it was “a bit earlier than frankly we had all originally planned.”

A longtime major figure of NBC and MSNBC’s political coverage, Mr. Todd became less omnipresent in recent years.

Chuck Todd, who served as moderator of the Sunday morning NBC News franchise “Meet the Press” from 2014 to 2023, announced to colleagues Friday morning that he is leaving the network. Since handing the “Meet the Press” moderator baton to Kristen Welker, Todd has served as NBC’s chief political analyst.
