The company introduced its first Nokia Android-based smartphone, the Nokia 6, in 2017. Nokia has been trying to carve out a niche for itself on the back of a stock Android build and a clean design.

Nokia is effectively taking the open-source elements of Android and then bolting on its own services, a Windows Phone-like UI, and yet another Android app store.

And just like that, Nokia’s Android days were over — well, for a time at least. Now it’s 2017 and Nokia (via HMD) is working on a comeback. Can they finally find success in the Android world?
