The savory candies taste like soup, and are served in an iconic Progresso can. They launched Thursday and were sold out by the early afternoon.
What are Progresso soup drops?
On January 16, Progresso announced a new product just in time for National Soup Month—soup drops. Seemingly a play on “cough drops,” they are essentially individually wrapped candies that taste like soup rather than anything sweet.

"When you're sick, nothing is truly more reassuring than Chicken Noodle Soup. So, we thought, why stop at the soup bowl?"

Each order of 20 drops comes in a container resembling Progresso’s actual soup cans and is accompanied by a can of actual Progresso Traditional Chicken Noodle Soup. The cost of both is $2.49, plus 99 cents shipping.

The Soup Drops will be available for a limited time throughout January, which is also National Soup Month. Those looking to get their hands on the drops can purchase them at ProgressoSoupDrops.com starting at 9 a.m. Eastern Time on January 16. Additional drops will be released every Thursday for the rest of the month, while supplies last.
