Mel Owens, a former NFL player and ABC's new "Golden Bachelor," said in an interview that he would cut any women age 60 or older from the lineup.

The newest "Golden Bachelor" Mel Owens said he plans to cut any woman who is “60 and over" and urged producers to refrain from casting anyone with “artificial hips" and "wigs."

"Mel Owens is OUT as the Golden Bachelor due to recent negative publicity surrounding his June 4th podcast appearance," Reality Steve wrote on Twitter. "Expect an announcement soon incl who is going to replace him. Haven’t heard a name yet on who that is. Will update if/when I hear."
