Firaxis Games has announced that Sid Meier's Civilization 7 will be Steam Deck verified. The upcoming 4X strategy game will be fully playable on Valve's handheld PC and players won't have to tinker with the in-game settings to get a good experience.

Civilization 7 will be available on Windows, Mac, and Linux with each operating system having its own system requirements. Firaxis has announced that Civilization 7 has been verified for Steam Deck ahead of its launch on February 11. This will be the first entry in the series to get the full green checkmark seal of approval on Valve's popular Linux-based handheld.

Sid Meier's Civilization 7 developer Firaxis has confirmed the highly anticipated strategy game will be Steam Deck verified upon its February 6 release date. A simple post from the official Civilization 7 X/Twitter account made the announcement. "Civ 7 is officially Steam Deck verified," it said. "Make history on the go."

A massive 2025 release on Steam has been verified on Steam Deck by Valve a month before its release next month.
