A second wildfire fueled by dangerously high winds sparked in Los Angeles County on Tuesday and exploded in growth overnight.

While another Los Angeles County wildfire burned homes to the ground, the community of Altadena was also left devastated by a quickly moving blaze — one that has left at least five people dead and injured several others as it wiped out entire buildings.

ABC7 in Los Angeles lost its over-the-air signal Friday morning as the Eaton Fire burned closed to the transmission towers on Mount Wilson.

Flames from the Eaton fire came perilously close to the Mt. Wilson and local stations, including KABC and radio KLOS-FM, reported losing transmissions.
