After a chaotic weather week that dropped more than a foot of snow in some areas, KC Restaurant Week is starting on a high note for many of the 248 establishments taking part this year.

After a week of being snowed in, Kansas City restaurants are ready to step out – and eat out. Nearly 250 restaurants are taking part in Kansas City’s Restaurant Week across both sides of the state line.

Kansas City Restaurant Week, which began in 2010, aims to boost local dining during the typically slow winter months. Now in its 16th year, the 10-day event features 230 participating restaurants offering set menus with specials at discounted prices.

It's actually not that bad and given the struggling local economy . . . We MIGHT even lay off so much criticism about the upscale celebration of small plates and snobbishness.

Nearly 250 businesses are participating in Kansas City Restaurant Week this year, so there's a local business for everyone to support.
