Swedish activist Greta Thunberg told Reuters she was in Malta and had been supposed to board the ship as part of the Freedom Flotilla's planned action in support of Gaza.

The exemption applies to both Airbus and Boeing aircraft and primarily covers US-bound flights, which are among the longest in Air India's schedule.
