Zach LaVine scored a season-high 36 points and the Chicago Bulls used a fourth-quarter flurry to hold off the Boston Celtics 117-108 on Thursday night in the opener of a home-and-home set.

The Bulls were led by two-time All-Star guard Zach LaVine with 36 points on 11-19 shooting from the field and 6-11 from deep. Each Bulls starter was in double figures, and star big man Nikola Vucevic posted a 16-point,
