A union representing Transportation Security Administration workers calls the Department of Homeland Security's decision to end the collective bargaining agreement with them an “unprovoked attack.”

The Department of Homeland Security said Friday that it is ending the collective bargaining agreement with the tens of thousands of frontline employees at the Transportation Security Administration, marking a major effort to dismantle union protections under the Trump administration.

The Department of Homeland Security last week ended the collective bargaining agreement — signed last May —  with the Transportation Security Administration security officers.

Nearly 2,000 TSA employees will be effected by the termination put in place by the Department of Homeland Security and Trump administration.
