Chloe Childress, a 19-year-old counselor who deeply loved Camp Mystic, was one of 23 campers who died in the devastating Texas Hill Country floods.

According to Fox affiliate KRIV and ABC News, 19-year-old Chloe Childress was one of the 27 Camp Mystic campers and counselors who died in the Texas floods. The Christian girls’ camp faced severe devastation after waters flooded through Texas, on Friday, July 4, as previously reported by PEOPLE.

C hloe Childress, a counselor at Camp Mystic, was killed during the devastating flooding in Hunt, Texas, over the holiday weekend, according to a representative of her high school. She graduated from The Kinkaid School earlier this year and was set to attend the University of Texas at Austin in the fall.
