Fantasizing about Florida alligators eating immigrants is old racism repackaged in a new Alligator Alcatraz detention camp.

"Alligator Alcatraz" is the name posted in front of the hastily converted immigrant detention facility in the Florida Everglades.

"No, we’re not calling it Alligator Alcatraz. It’s a Florida concentration camp," one prominent copy editor said.
