The Trump administration is threatening to rescind federal funding over several problems with Harvard University’s structure and alleged failures, including allowing and fueling antisemitism. The federal government has pushed large universities like Columbia and Brown to change their policies and reform their schools in order to continue receiving federal funding.

Harvard University received a letter from a federal task force Thursday outlining policy demands tied to nearly $9 billion in federal funding, a university spokesperson told CNN.

Harvard University must eliminate its diversity, equity and inclusion or DEI program and ban masked protesters from campus demonstrations, if the school wants to keep its federal funding, the White House confirmed.
