The Trump administration is threatening to rescind federal funding over several problems with Harvard University’s structure and alleged failures, including allowing and fueling antisemitism. The federal government has pushed large universities like Columbia and Brown to change their policies and reform their schools in order to continue receiving federal funding.
Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Hopi E. Hoekstra said Tuesday that the FAS is developing a contingency plan for the looming possibility that the Trump administration hits Harvard with steep federal funding cuts.
They began to congregate outside Harvard Yard around 2 p.m., with one organizer passing out “know your rights” cards.
