Trevoh Chalobah has been an important member of the Chelsea defense since his recall from Crystal Palace in January, and he's gotten a nice reward for that in the form of his maiden call-up to the senior England squad.

England manager Thomas Tuchel is the most important figure in Trevoh Chalobah's career. In summer 2021, the defender was uncertain about his future after his third loan spell away from Chelsea. He was weighing up a fourth with Valencia or Club Brugge his two options on the table.

Trevoh Chalobah has earned his first senior call-up, with Tuchel explaining: “Since the last camp, he has made a major contribution to Chelsea. He was one of their most consistent and best defenders, so we think he deserves the call-up and, maybe, gets his first cap.”
