Nov 29, 2024 · Just an update for those watching. The Atari.com 7800+ order I put in yesterday shipped today. The 7800+ order I put in Oct. 2 hasn't shipped yet. Seems strange a pre-order doesn't ship prior to an order made 24 hours ago. I'm not complaining, just wondering why...

Jan 1, 2025 · Just my 7800+ and love it. Firmware is what is preinstalled. Every dame works but the cart that came with it. Can one of you kind persons let me know where to get a firmware update so I can enjoy it even more. all my games work on the 2600+ but love the look of the 7800+ more. thanks to all you g.

Dec 22, 2024 · After that the 7800+ would not get past the Atari splash screen and I had to reflash the Bios. Wanted to post here so that someone in the know could relay to Atari as I'm sure we (plus other person here) are not the only ones that will hit this issue. To emphasize again - there is no problem with the update process. That is what saved my machine.

Nov 26, 2024 · Original Atari 7800, Atari 5200, ColecoVision, Vectrex, Sega Master System, and most Sega Genesis NTSC consoles all contain a start-up/bios screen which has wait times ranging from 5 (7800) to 12 (ColecoVision) seconds. Some people may be nitpicking and possibly forgetting or overlooking this fact, if they are complaining about load times.

Nov 9, 2020 · Thanks to all who voted Popeye as 2020's "Best Homebrew Atari 7800 (WIP)". A SPECIAL game demo is available on the JS7800 emulator. This demo includes Novice & Expert. Popeye gets 2 lives, but he can earn a 3rd. The game ends after the ship, so POINT PRESSING IS A MUST! The game is 1 or 2 player alternating.
