I see that Netgear does have some purpose built range extenders in standup profiles like the EAX80 and wall plug profiles like the EAX15.

Jan 28, 2020 · To close and its pointless to have an extender. If you had poor wifi in your room, then placing the extender in your room isn't going to help as it'll have poor connection too. Try to put it in the middle between your room and the router. The led lights on the extender can help you with placment. The router link led is the key here.

Feb 16, 2019 · I had the same problem with a N300 Wifi Range Extender but was able to finally solve it. Initially, although I can connect the extender to the router, the devices that are connected to the extender did not have internet. In my case, it was the router (Netgear WNDR3400v3) that was causing the problem.

If its in bridge mode, you'd need to log into the primary router to get the r6400's ip address. 3. You can hardwire the r6400 in and use it in access point mode. Then you can use its wifi.
