What DID happen is that my foot and leg cramps ceased. So, I kept doing that and tried magnesium oxide. This is small, cheap, found anywhere, like drug stores. And finally, it worked.

I have been taking Mag Oxide with it, but I'm just not sure what the correct balance is. I heard 1/2 as much. I am eager to hear of others' responses.

Sep 21, 2010 · I went to my PCP today for something else and mentioned it to him, and he said to freeze Vaseline then roll it into little pill size balls and swallow three a day and it will get things moving. I've googled and it is apparently used a lot in nursing homes, except they roll their Vaseline in powdered sugar, which wouldn't be good for me.

Aug 20, 2007 · I was looking at some of the supplements that you are taking. The magnesium oxide is a poor choice of magnesium. I'd recommend magnesium citrate which is much more absorbable. The calcium ratio should be more like 1 to 1 calcium to magnesium. Read Dr. Carolyn Dean's book, " The Magnesium Miracle. Be careful with copper.

Milk of Magnesia....not working!
Nov 4, 2008 · Apparently the directions on the package don't apply to me. It said you should see it working within 1/2 to 6hrs. It took 19hrs for it to work. I feel so much better but I'm still.very gassy. I'm not on pain meds. I usually take miralax daily but because of my stricture I wasn't able to eat or drink anything.
