We are making changes to the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) by removing the waiting period for SSP, and removing the Lower Earnings Limit. This will enable people to access sick pay from day one of their sickness absence. A consultation has been launched to gather views for those earning below that flat rate of SSP.
